Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 31, 2026
OMNIX ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the OMNIX platform, including our web app, PWA, and API services.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: Name, email address, and authentication credentials when you create an account or sign in.
- Profile data: Interests, goals, communication preferences, and custom instructions you enter to personalise your experience.
- Chat content: Messages, prompts, and responses in your conversations with OMNIX.
- Uploaded files: Documents, images, and other files you attach to conversations.
- Payment information: Billing details processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers. This includes subscription payments and optional one-time top-up pack purchases.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: Features used, session duration, model selections, and interaction patterns.
- Device information: Browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and PWA install status.
- Log data: IP addresses, timestamps, and error reports for service reliability.
- Memory and context: Facts and preferences we extract from your conversations to improve personalisation (only with your implicit consent during use).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the OMNIX platform and its AI features.
- Personalise AI responses based on your profile, goals, and conversation history.
- Process payments and manage your subscription, credit balance, or bonus word wallet balance. Top-up packs are opt-in one-time purchases — we never auto-charge when your plan quota is exhausted.
- Send service-related communications (account notices, billing receipts, security alerts).
- Monitor platform health, debug issues, and prevent abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your conversation content to train public AI models without your explicit consent.
3. Chat History, Saved Facts (Memory), and Retention
OMNIX stores two related but distinct types of data. We explain both clearly so you know what is kept and what you control:
3.1 Chat history (full conversations)
- What it is: Your session messages (prompts and AI replies), stored per account while you are signed in.
- Retention: Kept from your first use onward unless you delete a session or your account. We do not silently expire chat history while your account remains active.
- Clear chat: Hides messages from the screen immediately (e.g. for privacy). A recoverable copy is kept for up to 3 months — use Restore cleared chat in the conversation.
- Delete session: Removes the whole session from your list immediately. A copy may remain in our cloud for up to 3 months (Recently deleted → Restore), then it is permanently purged.
3.2 Saved facts (extracted memory)
- What it is: Short facts and preferences OMNIX extracts to personalise future replies (shown in the Memory panel). This is not a full transcript.
- Retention: Kept while your account is active unless you delete the fact.
- Deletion & recovery: When you delete a fact, it disappears from the app immediately. We may retain it in our cloud for 1–3 months for accidental-delete recovery, then permanently delete it. Contact founder@tryomnix.com for restore help within that window.
- Your control: View, edit, pin, and delete facts in the Memory panel at any time.
3.3 Export and account deletion
- Export: You may request a copy of your data by emailing founder@tryomnix.com.
- Account deletion: When you delete your account, we begin removal of personal data; soft-deleted items are purged within the recovery window above or within 30 days of account closure, whichever is sooner, except where law requires retention.
4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We share data only with trusted service providers necessary to operate OMNIX:
- Supabase: Our database and authentication provider. Data stored in their EU/US infrastructure.
- OpenRouter / AI Providers: Your messages are processed by AI models (Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, DeepSeek) via OpenRouter. These providers have their own privacy policies.
- Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe processes payment information directly and is PCI-DSS compliant.
- Vercel: Hosting and edge infrastructure.
We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party not listed above.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
OMNIXuses browser local storage and session cookies to maintain your session, store UI preferences, and enable offline functionality as a PWA. We use no third-party advertising cookies. You can clear local storage at any time using the "Clear All Data" option in Settings, though this will reset your local preferences.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption in transit, encrypted database storage, row-level security on all user data, and access controls. While we take every reasonable precaution, no online service can guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to use a strong password and enable two-factor authentication when available.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
- Portability: Export your data in JSON format via the Export All Data feature in Settings.
- Objection: Object to certain types of processing.
To exercise these rights, contact us at founder@tryomnix.com.
8. Children's Privacy
OMNIX is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. International Data Transfers
OMNIX operates globally. Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via in-app notification or email, and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of OMNIX after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
